Old Sessions House

The old sessions house was constructed in 1779 and was the biggest and busiest Courthouse in England for over 100 Years. The grade two star listed building has since then housed offices and most recently a masonic lodge but has fallen into disrepair.

Our idea was to restore the building retaining and enhancing the beautiful and abundant historic features but accommodate modern use. The building is currently occupied by showroom spaces in the ground floor with entrances from Farringdon lane. The uppermost floor is Sätila’s own home and houses the grand wine bar/restaurant/studio “Sessions Arts Club” which opened in August 2021. We are currently seeking a user for the main central part of the building, please see www.theoldsessionshouse.com for further information.
